Since that time they have provided San Diego County with quality home inspections and reports presented in an easy-to-read, computer generated format that allows clients to understand the results of the comprhensive inspections performed by AmeriSpec Certified inspectors.

Jess Alvarez, Owner/Inspector
Jess has been in business as an AmeriSpec Owner and Inspector since 1988. He has successfully expanded his business emphasizing customer service to include all of San Diego County. Jess is a certified AmeriSpec Inspector, a California Licensed contractor, #610261, member of California Real Estate Inspector’s Association (CREIA) and International Code Council (ICC), and also continues to further his knowledge by attending courses through AmeriSpec Inc. and other entities on current building standards and codes. Prior to taking on the challenges of proprietorship, Jess was in the service industry managing a diverse team, refining his business knowledge, and perfecting his communication strategies. He is bilingual in English and Spanish affording him the opportunity to offer inspection services to clients in either language. These skills along with Jess’s inspiration have created a successful business and built a strong team both in the field and the office that emphasize customer service.
George Krepps
George has been inspecting homes in San Diego County for AmeriSpec since 1989. He is our senior inspector who has completed over 12,000 inspections on residential, commercial, and manufactured buildings. George completed technical training based on the standards of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the California Real Estate Inspectors Association (CREIA) to become a certified AmeriSpec Inspector. In addition to attending workshops on current building standards and codes offered through AmeriSpec Inc., George is specifically trained to inspect mobile homes. He has extensive experience with diversified clientele in the service industry. George was a United States Airforce Crew Chief in charge of inspecting aircraft. His attention to detail combined with his standard of excellence in client satisfaction made him a natural for the home inspection industry.
Jerry Lau
AmeriSpec Inspection Service hired Jerry in August of 2002. Jerry has been in the remodeling and construction business for the past 15 years, specializing in kitchens and bathrooms. He completed technical training based on the standards of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the California Real Estate Inspectors Association (CREIA) to become a certified AmeriSpec Inspector completing over 1000 inspections to date. He remains current on building standards and codes with training offered by AmeriSpec Inc. As inspectors of commercial, residential and manufactured buildings, we’ve concluded these areas are where most issues occur. Jerry’s attention to detail and extensive knowledge of plumbing and construction make him a strong member of our inspection team.
Steve Lauriano
Steve was born and raised in San Diego and has a vast knowledge of all areas in and around the county. Starting as a young boy helping out at construction sites on weekends for family members who were in the construction trades, it was natural that he would make this industry his career. He completed technical training based on the standards of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) and the California Real Estate Inspectors Association (CREIA) to become a certified AmeriSpec Inspector. He remains current on building standards and codes with training offered by AmeriSpec Inc. Steve has a strong background in all aspects of construction including but not limited to soil grading and drainage sites, foundations, masonry, framing, roofing, drywall and flooring. Most recently he has been working as a heavy equipment operator in Lake Tahoe and in San Diego County as a member of the local union # 3 of the International Union of Operating Engineers, AFL-CIO. He seems to be at his best when interacting with everyone in the real estate transaction. Having a positive upbeat personality and good people skills makes him an ideal home inspector.
